CleverIR AutoSmart IRt/c’s

AutoSmart MSV

Sensing Range:
0°C to 250°C (32°F to 482°F)
Field of View:
110°
Minimum Spot Size:
3mm (0.1")

The AutoSmart SV is a micro IRt/c.SV (Side View) connected to the AutoSmart transmitter for analog output. The micro IRt/c.SV sensor is the smallest available in its class, a side view model that is unique and ideal for use in hard-to-reach places where a sensor can be placed parallel to the target. As a result of its small size, it is capable of measuring small spots (3mm diameter). Used in various applications, including medical equipment, printing applications and in solar energy. Mounting brackets are available as accessories.

AutoSmart 01

Sensing Range:
0°C to 250°C (32°F to 482°F)
Field of View:
60°
Minimum Spot Size:
8mm (0.3")

The AutoSmart 01 is an IRt/c.01 sensor connected to the AutoSmart transmitter for analog output. The IRt/c.01 is a highly versatile low-cost sensor, with a small size and threaded housing that makes it easy to mount and install. Popular in applications with low ambient temperatures (max 70°C) such as medical, agriculture and laminating. A special heat-balance version is available to measure fluids non-invasively.

AutoSmart IR

Sensing Range:
0°C to 250°C (32°F to 482°F)
Field of View:
60°
Minimum Spot Size:
8mm (3")

The AutoSmart IR is the IRt/c connected to the AutoSmart transmitter for analog output. The IRt/c is one of the most widely used models. It combines various features such as small size, ease-of-use and robustness. It has a huge install base with proved track record of reliability and accuracy. The stainless steel housing with shielded cable allow use in noisy areas. It has a broad range of applications, such as printing, drying, robotics, process automation and plastics. It also comes in a side view (SV) model.

Is the target metal or reflective?

Emissivity is a measure of the reflectiveness of materials. Reflective – or low emissivity – materials pose challenges when using an IR sensor. See technote 20 for more information.

What is the target temperature?

ACE sensor yield linear signals between 0-100C or 0-250C (scalable). IRt/c sensors are calibrated specifically for desired temperature range. See technote 35 for more information.

What is the field of view?

The field of view is defined as ratio distance to spotsize X:Y where X is the distance between sensor and target, and Y is the diameter of the measured spot.

For example, a sensor with a 5:1 FOV measures a 1” spot at a 5” distance.

See technote 38 for more information.

What is the ambient temperature?

The maximum ambient temperature a sensor can withstand varies between models. For higher ambient temperature applications, models are available with built-in airpurge for cooling, or cooling jackets as accessory.
