The field of view is defined as ratio distance to spotsize X:Y where X is the distance between sensor and target, and Y is the diameter of the measured spot.For example, a sensor with a 5:1 FOV measures a 1” spot at a 5” distance. See technote 38 for more information.

The maximum ambient temperature a sensor can withstand varies between models. For higher ambient temperature applications, models are available with built-in airpurge for cooling, or cooling jackets as accessory.
